RWA hosts the following internship and after school programs for youth this Fall:
AQUA 101
Tuesdays 2:00-4:00PM - 6th to 8th graders
Location: Kappa VI/ Far Rockaway High School Cam
URBAN EXPLORATION PROGRAM- School Breaks
Urban Exploration
Winter Break – Dates: TBD
We will host 3 days of field trips with M/S & H/S students
Depart: 9:30 sharp from Rockaway Firehouse – Rockaway Bch Blvd & Beach 59th St
Return: 7PM
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Environmental Education Workshops
K-12 teachers can participate in these workshops to learn strategies in teaching science and math through hands on learning directly off the natural shoreline.

On weekends we work together with various community groups and environmental organizations to lead clean ups, plantings and workshops for community members to learn more about the natural environment of
COMMUNITY PLANNING
RWA has established recycling initiatives along the beach boardwalk,
public waterfront access sites along Jamaica Bay and reclaimed neglected lots of public space for a new waterfront park under the PLA
