On weekends we work together with various community groups and environmental organizations to lead clean ups, plantings and workshops for community members to learn more about the natural environment of the Rockaway Peninsula.
For these events we do anything from cleaning debris off the Jamaica Bay shoreline to posting bat boxes. This is a great way to meet others and make a positive difference in the community.
